Standard Poodles
We are registered breeders situated in beautiful
Central Victoria on
30 acres, with room for our Poodles to run and play.
Breeding for Health, Temperament, Type and Color. Colors we are breeding
Apricot, Cream, Black, Chocolate and Blue. All breeding
stock is health tested,
for SA, HD and eye tested, all tested clear.
We have both Exported and Imported
dogs.
Our puppies are raised in our home and are
accustomed to the
usual household activities and other animals; they are well
socialized, happy and healthy, ensuring they are well adjusted and make the
perfect
pets with Pizzazz.
All puppies go to their new homes, vaccinated,
wormed, Vet health checked micro chipped, 6 weeks free Pet Insurance and a
puppy pack
of goodies, toys, blanket, harness and leash, puppy food,
information on how to care for your new puppy and ongoing support. Puppies will
be registered on limited registration, unless going to an approved breeder.
We will transport nationally and internationally,
cost of transport
is at the expense of the purchaser.
About the Standard Poodle
The
Standard Poodle that we know and love today probably developed around the 17th
century. Although the national dog of France it originated in Germany. The
German word for Poodle is “Pudel” which means to splash in water.
It is the
oldest known water retriever breed and was highly valued
as an excellent water
dog because of its extreme intelligence and
co-operative nature. Its bond with
humans stood out from any other breed. This characteristic is what makes the
Poodle so highly popular today. The Standard Poodle is an active, intelligent,
well-balanced, elegant looking dog; they have a sophisticated almost regal look
and carry themselves very proudly.
Having a Standard Poodle as a pet doesn’t mean it
has to look like a show dog, however you need to take into account your budget
and living conditions, as your Poodle needs to be trimmed every 6-8 weeks and
attention to the teeth nails and ears on a regular basis. Your Poodle needs a
balanced diet of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals to keep
it healthy. Most foods labeled “completely balanced” or “ nutritionally
complete” should do the trick.
Poodle puppies grow and develop very rapidly. It is
especially important that growing puppies get enough protein, which is about
25%-35% more than adult foods contain. A completely balanced puppy food should
also provide the correct amount of calcium, phosphorus and minerals for proper
development and growth.
Puppies need several small meals per day.
Up to 3 months 4 or 5 meals per day.
3-5 months 3
or 4 meals per day.
6 months and older 2 meals per day.
Provide fresh
water at all times. Raw meaty bones to aide in cleaning teeth, and to help keep
your
dog occupied.
